A Besom (broom) is the kind of broom traditionally associated with witches, and is one of the tools commonly used in the practice of modern Wicca.
Join Melinda’s Enchanted Cottage as we explore the tales and folklore surrounding this tools. As practicing witches here at the shop we will offer you some guidance and knowledge on the usage and purpose of an actual Besom, from sweeping away negative energy to ceremonial use and spell. Melinda’s Enchanted Cottage will open your mind up to Witches and their craft.
The main feature of this workshop will be the hands on crafting of your very own witches Broom. Your Besom can be as simple or creative as you’d like, please feel free to bring any charms or talismans to personalize your Broom. Come on out and enjoy a fun filled class of crafting with Jeremy and Melinda.
All materials needed will be supplied by Melinda’s Enchanted Cottage. We will have Broom material as well as decorative materials such as charms, crystals, feathers and so much more.
Also available for your use will be wood burning and carving tools for adding symbols, inscriptions and runes.
Add a little Magick to your Besom. After we’ve crafted your Besom we will spend time cleansing and consecrating your tool.

Witch’s ladder is a practice, in folk magic or witchcraft, that is made from knotted cord or hair, that normally
constitutes a spell.
Charms are knotted or braided with specific magical intention into the cords.
Whatever one’s intention is can be made into a magickal spell into a witches ladder.
Today’s workshop you will work your intention into your very own witches ladder, we will discuss the history and
original practices using this tool along with its many new age uses for today’s practicing witch.
Melinda and Jeremy will supply all the materials, but as always we encourage or friends to bring something to
personalize their spell.

The Witch ball is used for protection against evil spells and negativity, sickness and ill fortune. Traditionally Witch
Balls are hung in an east window however you can place them anywhere around your home as an effective way to
absorb negative energy. The Witch ball acts like a magnet attracting negative energy out of the air.
All supplies are provided by Melinda’s Enchanted Cottage.
Come on in and craft your very own Witch Ball. Both Melinda and Jeremy will be there to walk you through creative
ideas, types of material you should be using and how to consecrate and personalize your Witch Ball. These make great unique gift ideas for friends and family, also a fun activity for children to make for loved ones.

hats, and making Magick happen with your little witches
Itinerary
1. Potions and Brew making
This will be one of our main attractions during the event…you’ll be crafting and creating delicious edible brews to
enhance your Magick for the next part of our event.
2. The Witches Hat
Yes!! Take a plain old witches hat and make it your way, decorating this symbolic witches attire to reflect the little
witch within. You will be taking your witches hat home with you and all crafty materials are provided.
3. Costume and Attire…this is on you.
Grab your wands, fly on your broom and dress in your best witches attire you can. Have fun making a witches outfit
with your little witch before the event even starts…cloaks, capes, a wart nose and more…dress up as your favorite
fairy tale witch or custom make your costume. Parents…don’t be shy…Jeremy and Melinda will be dressed up as well.
Join your little witch in costume and for some photo opportunities.
4. Photo opportunities
We do parties here at Melinda’s Enchanted Cottage, and we do them right.
Decorations and ambiance is half the fun…we want your witches to have an experience and that means photo
opportunities…bring your cameras, cell phones and capture some moments in our amazing decorated sacred space.
5. Foods and Beverages
Well it’s not a party without snacks and treats…but of course not just any old snacks will do….a feast fit for a witch…
eye of newt, tongue of dog, wing of bat haha just kidding. We will have plenty of edible treats while spinning a
witches tale…your little witch will not go away hungry
6.Extra Extra
A few extra activities to do on your own will be provided and available for you to take home…colouring stations…
crayons, colouring sheets, puzzles and games to keep your little witch busy so maybe mom or dad can design his or
her own witches hat. Slime making station and a witches bling station….we will have a cauldron full of what we call
witches bling (assortment of crystals, charms, stickers, and other sparkly goods…grab your little cauldrons and
scoop up some witches bling to take home.)

Our hands and feet are more than just handy tools, they are expressions of our core energy. Our hands (and feet)
carry our own unique energy stamp. Our hands transfer energy to humans, projects, animals or work, our feet
absorb Mother Earths healing energy, and leave imprints of our own energy.
During tonight’s workshop we will explore and become consciously aware of our energy exchanges, as well as the
energy imprints we leave. Jeremy and Melinda will walk you through incorporating Magick into your everyday life by
using the colour spectrum, symbols, clothing and daily activities/routines…..simple magical life hacks that will
enhance your being
In true fashion here at Melinda’s Enchanted Cottage will host a hands on practical Magick portion for tonight’s
workshop. Bring with you, your SOLE….we will be practicing SOLE Protection Magick.
This part of the workshop we will be creating protection Sigils and symbols to place on the bottoms of our shoes.
The purpose is to protect our energy and avoid blockages from the energy we pick up…to do this we will also be
crafting the tool you need to write out and cast this Magick.

We will be making cascarilla powder and cascarilla chalk for you to use this night on your shoes you are wearing or
the shoes you bring and you will also take some home allowing you to continue the daily practice of Sole Magick

This event we will be getting down and dirty crafting magical salt blends, waters and spells….all things useful for a

The Spells
Pulling from my own book of shadows, we are crafting a couple spells to help deter bullying and gossip within your
life.
1. Harm None…don’t let the title deter you, this effective spell is designed to open up the doors of karma or
essentially “like energy attracts like energy”. Put a stop to bullying with this countering spell…stop the cycle of poor
behaviour and let the energies work their Magick.
2. Gossip Stopper…I don’t care what the age is, we all deal with gossip and as witches we know words can be powerful
and affect us greatly. With this spell, we are looking to ward off, deter, and nip those nasty words out of our lives…
take away its power and it will no longer hold space in your mind.

What we are Making. Magical Waters…moon water, war water and rose water…not your typical simple recipes, we are getting more complex…all supplies are provided. Magical Salt Blends…Black Salt, Cascarilla Powder, Wishing Dust.
You will be getting your hands dirty..
Melinda’s Enchanted Cottage will provide all the tools, recipes and supplies for you to make and take home. Each item we craft will be ritually charged by you in our sacred space.

We are crafting at Melinda’s Enchanted Cottage
Join us Sunday November 29th 11am to craft your Triple Moon Wall Hanging.
The Triple Moon Symbol is a popular pagan and Wiccan symbol used to represent the Goddess. It shows different
portions of the lunar cycle, with the moon in three phases – waxing, full and waning. First, there is a crescent moon
that is in a growing/waxing phase. In the center comes a circle representing the full moon, and finally, there is a
crescent denoting the diminishing/waning moon.
Melinda’s Enchanted Cottage will provide all the materials for your crafting day.
Before we get into crafting we will explore all the aspects of the Triple Moon and The Moon Goddess.
The waxing moon stands for the Maiden and symbolizes purity, youth, new life, beginnings, rejuvenation,
excitement, enchantment, and expansion. The full moon represents the Mother and represents fulfillment, fertility,
ripeness, potency, compassion, giving, caring, nurturing, protection and power. The waxing moon represents the
Crone and stands for repose, maturity, wisdom, experience, knowledge, understanding, completion, death and
rebirth. In its entirety, the symbol is believed to signify the eternal cycle of birth, life, and rebirth.
Explore and find ways to connect to each aspect through meditation, chanting and spell casting

Tonight is all about you and your journey of Magick. We will be crafting a personal Witches spell Jar to focus on
accepting and releasing those painful memories you may still be holding onto.
Our evening will be filled with magical corespondents, witchy ingredients and most importantly your very own
spell, created and crafted for you.
The Altar is set, the circle will be called and the Magick will be released…this hands on workshop will start with a
cleansing, calling the quarters, preparing and working your spell…raising the energies through chanting and
music and finally releasing your spell into the universe.
